HOLLYWOOD, Calif. -- Another week, another dance (or two in this case). I have made it halfway through this show and I am loving it. We had a fabulous time last week with our Charleston. It was such a fun dance and I felt right at home with it. I was floating on a cloud from the time I performed until the beginning of our Hustle practice on Wednesday morning. I am so thankful to have had such a wonderful week and to feel as high as a kite for a short time during this experience. I was starting to think I would never see a 10 paddle in my dancing career so it was definitely lovely to have that acknowledgment for all this hard work.

Now the hard work gets even harder! The pressure is really on us this week as we try to prove we are not a "one week wonder." I'm not sure how I feel about our Argentine Tango. I think the choreography is great and I'm picking it up just fine but Mark (Ballas) was sick this week and we didn't get a ton of rehearsal for our competition dance. It will be interesting to see if I can even remember the entire 90 seconds as we attack the dance floor. However the dance itself is so dark and fabulous. I get to play a powerful woman with a dead stare and show a bit of my darker side. It's a side of me many people don't see but I definitely have and keep inside. Don't miss it if you are one of those people who can't take your eyes off an accident. This could very well be one waiting to happen.

As for the atmosphere this week amongst competitors, we had a blast learning the Hustle group dance. It was tough and frustrating but we were all in it together and it really helped us grow closer. But as everyone knows, when you put a large group of strong personalities together there are always a few cliques and packs that form and a few that get left outside the circle. Luckily, we all have our "real lives" waiting for us when we are done with our "Dancing" journey. It's hard to remember when you are so immersed in an intense situation and cut off from the outside world that we have our families, careers and passions to return to when this ends.

So, today I will dance to the highest level and enjoy every minute, all the time remembering that if today is the last day of my "Dancing career," I'd better enjoy it to the fullest and then head home to continue dancing with my boys every day of my life.
