With the presidential election months away, John McCain can already claim one victory.

The Republican nominee beat Barack Obama's record-setting convention speech viewership by 500,000, according to the Hollywood Reporter.

McCain's address at the GOP convention was watched by about 38.9 million viewers, according to Nielsen Media Research. Obama received 38.4 million.

The numbers make McCain's speech the most-watched in convention history -- 41 percent higher than President Bush's acceptance speech four years ago and 1 percent higher than Obama.

According to the Reporter, McCain "was aided by a strong NFL lead-in on NBC, which brought 13.6 million viewers right to the doorstep of the 10 p.m. telecast."

Tell Us: Who gave the better speech - McCain or Obama?

Oh and by the way Obama is NOT a Muslim idiots. Do your research. He is a Christian. Oh boy we are in serious trouble. We have millions of uneducated idiots voting out there before they know the facts. Here we go again another 4 years of debt. All because people are too racist and too ignorant to become educated on the serious issue facing America.

Wow! I cannot believe there are people out there who still believe in the Republican Party. This country is in serious trouble because of the lack of leadership we've had the past eight years and we are willing to vote for McCain? Why? Because of Sarah Palin? What a joke. I would rather vote for P Diddy to run this country then that idiot. She's not qualified to run her own family

I can't wait for Biden to crush Palin in the debates. She has

Obama is definitely well orated, but i believe the change he is trying to bring is not going to make the world any better in 4 years. Bush's mistakes can be corrected. I don't think that McCain will be another Bush. McCain said so himself that he is not working for Republican or Democrat, he is working for t
