Marisa Miller Tops Maxim's Annual 'Hot 100' List

LOS ANGELES, Calif. -- Marisa Miller is the hottest woman in the world - at least according to the folks at Maxim.

The Victoria's Secret model tops the magazine's annual Hot 100 list, it was announced on Wednesday.

"Marisa Miller embodies the official return of the all-American supermodel. Not since Cindy Crawford ruled the catwalk has a pinup born and bred on U.S. soil so thoroughly captured the imagination of the American male," Maxim said of the blond bombshell. "It must be strange living a life in which no man can formulate a coherent sentence in your presence."

Being dubbed the hottest of the "Hot" is just the latest accolade for Marisa. She also graced the cover of Sports Illustrated's 2008 Swimsuit Issue and earlier this year, she beat out Access Hollywood's own Maria Menounos as the finalist in Fox's "Best Damn Sports Show Smokin' 16" competition, as decided on by online voters.

In grabbing the honor, the 29-year-old Marisa bumped last year's reigning "Hot" queen, Lindsay Lohan, out of the top spot. In fact, LiLo fell all the way to ninth on the list this year.

"After a tumultuous year involving a car wreck and rehab, La Lohan had Hollywood wondering if she was worth the trouble. Then her Marilyn Monroe-channeling topless photo shoot nearly crashed the Internet," Maxim noted. "Lindsay's official comeback includes starring roles in 'Dare to Love Me,' a period drama set in Argentina, and 'Ye Olde Times,' a comedy skewering Renaissance fairs. What range!"

Coming in second on the list was Scarlett Johansson, who the magazine described as a "dangerously curvy bombshell (and possessor of Hollywood's most luscious lips)."

"[Scarlett] has the acting chops to back up her mind-melting hotness," the mag added.

Jessica Biel finished third on the list, and a pair of three-named lovely ladies - Eva Longoria Parker and Sarah Michelle Gellar - rounding out the top five.

Other notable "Hot" ladies on the list include "HSM" cutie Vanessa Hudgens (12), mom-to-be Jessica Alba (34), "Gossip Girl" stars Blake Lively (43) and Leighton Meester (48), newlywed Mariah Carey (71) and "Hills" frenemies Heidi Montag (36) and Lauren Conrad (56).

Despite an interesting year, to say the least, filled with legal problems, custody battles and a wicked buzz cut, Britney Spears still has what it takes to be among the "Hot," as the pop princess landed in the 19th spot.

"Even after shaving her head, losing primary custody of her kids, sh*****g the bed at the VMAs, and dating a blood-sucking paparazzo, we're still pulling for the pop tart turned punch line. The girl still oozes genuine sexiness, and if anyone can make a comeback, it's her," Maxim said of Brit.

And while Ashley Olsen is "Hot" (coming in at 46), twin sister Mary-Kate apparently is not, as she didn't crack the Top 100.

Rounding out the list?

The 100th spot went to bisexual "Shot at Love" vixen Tila Tequila.
