It's finally official: "Extra!" host Mario Lopez and reality star Khloe Kardashian will host "The X Factor" when the show transitions to live shows in November. The news was finally confirmed on Monday afternoon after Simon Cowell teased the decision.
"We're getting close. I think I know the two people it's going to be now," he told "Access Hollywood" at "The X Factor" Season 2 premiere party in Los Angeles at the time. "It's going to be a boy and a girl."
Lopez and Kardashian confirmed the news on Twitter.
Alright guys, it's official… I'll be hosting @TheXFactorUSA Looking forward to working with @SimonCowell and the rest of the amazing team," Lopez tweeted.
"The rumors are true... I will be hosting @TheXFactorUSA this season!!!" Kardashian added.
Will these two make a good pair? Let's examine the reasons why we think they will rock the show.
One of the things that is really working this year on "The X Factor" is the rapport between the judges. The hosts need to work into that chemistry in order to be successful. Kardashian already has that rapport, considering that she is good friends with Demi Lovato. The pair often tweet and Lovato has said the Kardashians - namely Kim Kardashian - were there for her while she was in treatment in 2010.
"She's overcome so much and I think it's incredible that she has had the strength and the courage to share her experiences with the world through her music," Khloe wrote on her blog of her "Skyscraper" pal.
Mario Lopez Has Plenty of Hosting Experience
Mario Lopez is no stranger to hosting television programs - he's also a veteran host on MTV's "America's Best Dance Crew" along with his gig on "Extra!"
Lopez told Jet Set magazine that he's successful because he's always thinking ahead.
"My parents have always had a strong work ethic. They were first generation here in the US, and they were blue collar. My dad worked for the city, and my mom worked for the phone company," Lopez said. "They were just all about not taking shortcuts. …I have always been a multi-tasker and wanted to do a bunch of different things, and I always have guarded optimism, which allows me to constantly push myself."
They're Both Relatable
Khloe might take a back seat to sister Kim Kardashian, but she's routinely named as the one fans would like to actually spend time with. We'd much rather hang out with Khloe over the other sisters.
Also, we're pretty sure Lopez can get along with just about anyone. He'll keep the show professional while relating with the contestants.
Do you think Mario Lopez and Khloe Kardashian are good choice for 'The X Factor.'
