It's love - celebrity style! First comes love.... then comes baby.... then comes an extra special TV wedding special!
Mario Lopez and Courtney Mazza decided to skip the traditional quiet family wedding and opted to give the entire world an invitation to their weekend wedding. The "X Factor" host finally tied that knot with his longtime girlfriend / baby mama Courtney Mazza in a Mexican beach wedding over the weekend. Fans of the couple won't have to run out to snag a weekly magazine to get a glimpse of the big event -- the nuptials were captured on film for an upcoming wedding special set to air on TLC on December 8.
Their televised wedding shouldn't come as a surprise to fans of the couple: They've already showcased their love on the VH1 reality show, "Mario Lopez: Saved By The Baby," which featured the couple moving into a new Los Angeles home while awaiting the arrival of their daughter Gia.
Televised weddings have been a longtime celebrity trend. Check out these other all-star couples who read their vows on primetime.
Jessica Simpson and Nick Lachey: The presiding pop princess and the gorgeous boy bander were ahead of their time when they showcased their wedding on VH1's "All Access Celebrity Weddings" nearly a decade ago. They took the whole "celebrity wedding" to a new level when they showed off the early years of their marriage in the MTV reality show "Newlyweds." Unfortunately, not even high ratings could save their marriage and they officially called it quits in 2006. But, like every good Hollywood story, they did find their own happy endings: Jessica is expanding her family with fiance Eric Johnson and Nick just welcomed his first child with his wife Vanessa.
Kendra Wilkinson and Hank Baskett: The former "Girl Next Door" and her NFL boyfriend shared their wedding with their fans on the debut season of her spin off show, "Kendra." For their big day, Kendra splashed out on a lavish wedding at the Playboy Mansion, which was attended by her "Girls Next Door" co-stars Hugh Hefner, Holly Madison and Bridget Marquardt. Their first two years of marriage, which included the arrival of their son, Hank, were documented on the hit show. The happy family is still on reality TV on the WEtv series, "Kendra on Top", which has been renewed for a second season.
Khloe Kardashian and Lamar Odom: We know that the members of the Kardashian family are famous for another wedding special, but this one has a happy ending! The reality star married the NBA star in a Hollywood style wedding in September 2009 with a record setting 3.2 million viewers as invited guests. While her sister may have had a few more viewers, it is her little sister who scored the big prize -- a marriage that lasted more than 72 days! These days Khloe is enjoying a stint as co-host of "X Factor" and Lamar is settling in with his new team, the Los Angeles Clippers.
