It's time for another TV wedding!
"Extra" host Mario Lopez and his lady love, Courtney Mazza, are set to become the latest celebrity couple to give the world a front row seat at their wedding ceremony. The couple has inked a deal to show off their big day in a two-hour wedding special set to air on TLC on December 8.
"Courtney and I already feel incredibly blessed to have found each other and thank God for our beautiful daughter Gia. Our family is looking forward to celebrating our wedding later this year," the cute as a button host said in a statement.
It should come as no surprise that the couple would allow cameras to follow their wedding plans who previously showcased their relationship on the VH1 reality show, "Mario Lopez: Saved By The Baby". The "America's Best Dance Crew" host will be co-hosting the live shows of "The X Factor" alongside Khloe Kardashian in November.
With the news that they intend to put their love on display, the couple jumps on a growing trend in celebrity circles -- the televised wedding. Here are some of the stars who allowed their nuptials to be televised:
Kim Kardashian and Kris Humphries: Who could forget the over-the-top wedding of Kim Kardashian and Kris Humphries in 2011? After months of watching the couple fall in "love" on her hit reality television show, "Keeping Up with the Kardashians", it only seemed fitting that they would issue a worldwide invitation to watch their wedding. The two-part television special aired in early October 2011 with a guest list of millions. Just weeks later, their happy ending came to an end when the bride filed for divorce after only 72 days of marriage.
Jessica Simpson and Nick Lachey: The pop princess married her boy band boyfriend in a romantic wedding which aired on VH1's "All Access Celebrity Weddings" in 2003. The couple later put the early years of their marriage on display in the MTV reality romp "Newlyweds." Unfortunately, the happy ending wasn't in the works for the couple who were divorced in 2006. They have both gone on to find new loves and both expanded their families this year. Jessica welcomed daughter Maxwell with her fiance Eric Johnson in May. Nick welcomed son Camden with his wife Vanessa in September.
Trista Rehn and Ryan Sutter: They were the first couple from the "Bachelor" / "Bachelorette" franchise to make it down the aisle. After meeting on the first season of "The Bachelorette", the couple showcased their wedding in a $4 million wedding extravaganza in an ABC special that was watched by 26 million fans. The couple have two children -- son Maxwell, 5, and daughter Blakesley, 3.
