Mariah Carey Disses Britney Spears On ‘X Factor’ Gig
We can’t believe how rude Mariah Carey was when asked about her thoughts on Britney Spears judging ‘The X Factor’! Do yo think she’s bitter?
Mariah Carey has turned into the Green-Eyed Monster when it comes to Britney Spears landing a $15 million contract to judge The X Factor — the same gig for which Mariah was up just last year.
“You think I focus on that stuff? Have we met?” the 42-year-old mega star told EXTRA, somewhat bitterly, at a Project Canvas event in New York May 14.
After realizing her comment was less than friendly, Mariah recanted, adding, “I love her, honestly, I think she’s a very nice person, but I don’t care who’s going on that show – as long as it’s not me.”
Originally, Simon Cowell was reportedly in talks with Mariah to judge. However, the deal never came to fruition and now Britney, 30, is the show’s new shining star.
