"American Idol" alum Mandisa Hundley has lost over 100 pounds. She is proof that living well is the best revenge (take that, Simon Cowell!)
Back in 2006, Simon had made a quip about her weight asking, "do we have a bigger stage this year?" The singer used those remarks as motivation to get in shape.
But Mandisa has no hard feelings for the sharp-tongued judge. Yesterday "Good Morning America" asked her what she would say to Simon if given the chance. She replied that she would still forgive him, but that she would add, "how do ya like me now?"
Mandisa is not the only "Idol" alum to have gone through a high-profile weight-loss journey. Here's a look at a few other "Idol" alums who have lost weight.
After losing 100 pounds, the "velvet teddy bear" decided to give back to his home state by encouraging obese Alabamans to lose weight and to adopt healthy lifestyles. He became a coach for the Scale Back Alabama campaign, a campaign that challenged overweight Alabamans to lose 10 pounds in eight weeks.
The Oscar winner has had one of the most high-profile weight loss journeys in "Idol" history. We can't turn on the television without seeing one of her Weight Watchers commercials! Jennifer, who lost 80 pounds, also decided to give back by opening a weight loss center in Chicago's Hyde Park neighborhood.
Weight Watchers also offered to donate part of the proceeds to a foundation in honor of her late nephew, Julian King.
The country singer has slimmed down considerably since winning season 4 of "American Idol." One of Carrie's secrets to healthy eating involves keeping a food journal. Her decision to go vegan came from a concern about where her food was coming from.
As she explains, "In my perfect world, I'd have webcams wherever food is processed so I'd know how clean it is. I'll never eat meat again, because I look and feel better without it, but if I could raise my own cows and chickens and produce my own eggs and cheese, it would be awesome! The food would taste better, because the animals would be happy."
The "Sparkle" star has lost 50 pounds, and she's ready to enjoy the prime of the her life. As she explains, "I just wanted to be healthy. I remember thinking, 'I'm in my prime. I should be happy and fit.' That was the moment I decided that changes needed to be made."
It was not an easy journey, but after several months, Jordin began to see the results. As she comments, "it was awesome!"
