LOS ANGELES, Calif. -- Madonna paid tribute to Michael Jackson at her London O2 arena show on Saturday when an MJ impersonator hit the stage for a dance. But Access Hollywood has learned that a real collaboration between the two pop stars could have taken place on that very stage, had Michael made it to the venue for his string of 50 concert dates.

Access has learned that shortly before Michael's death, Madonna's manager approached the King of Pop about the possibility of a Michael-Madonna performance during his London shows, which were set to kick off on July 13.

The two had a lot in common. They were born 13 days apart in 1958, they grew up just 228 miles from each other and in 1991, they shocked the world when they arrived together at the Oscars.

On March 25, 1991, color coordinated in bright white, the two biggest stars in the world created a firestorm at the acting world's biggest event.

Madonna told People magazine about their date saying it was "pouring rain, the limo door opened and Michael got out first. I got out right after him and my bodyguard leaves with Michael under the umbrella. I was left standing in the rain. It was so fascinating to see how people responded to him."

The two met up after collaborating for the song "In The Closet" for Michael's then upcoming album "Dangerous," although Michael ended up not using Madonna's vocals.

And their life parallels don't stop there. Both owned the '80s, their music and style re-defining pop superstardom for the MTV generation and beyond.

Both have two failed marriages - Madonna with Sean Penn and Guy Ritchie and Michael to Lisa Marie Presley and Debbie Rowe.

And, Michael and Madonna also shared controversial kisses at the MTV Video Music Awards - Michael with Lisa Marie in 1994 and Madonna with Britney Spears in 2003.

Harleygurl, Elvis had an uncontrollable drug addiction which put his wife and daughter in alot of danger. His wife has even talked about the time Elvis tried to kill her while he was high. It's also been proven that Elvis was a child molester. Of all the girls in the world he could choose from Elvis fell in love with a pert, five foot three inch, grey-eyed 14-year-old Priscilla. Thats Sic

harleygirl the word is spelt BASTARD ok. by the way MJ is larger than life. yeah i love him we all love him. molested victims do not take money from their alleged abuser. this only shows that that family was lying from the start. if he did molest them im sure he would have had urges to molest other kids. they would have come forward to collect their money

Michael Jackson IS bigger than Elvis. People just don't want to give the man credit for all of his accomplishments, not to mention his donations & contributions to charities all over the world. I don't remember reading or seeing anywhere that Elvis went to visit AIDS patients or donated money to impoverished countries. It's sad that what MJ did for music is not e
