Christina Hendricks wed actor Geoffrey Arend in a small ceremony Sunday in New York City.

The pair exchanged vows at Il Buco, one of the couple's favorite restaurants. The intimate gathering included mostly family.

"We really wanted to be filled with our absolute best friends and our family, the Mad Men star, 34, has said. "We didn't want to spread ourselves too thin, and we really wanted it to have a warm environment, so we kept it with the tightest people."

Hendricks, who plays sexy secretary Joan Holloway on the hit AMC series, wore a strapless Carolina Herrera gown. (She has said that the candlelight-hue dress is "really timeless" and has "got a bit of Sophia Loren to it.")

"It was the first dress I tried on and it was magnificent," Hendricks said earlier this summer.

She and Arend, 31, met two years ago through Hendricks' Mad Men costar Vincent Kartheiser, and they got engaged last December. When Arend proposed, he gave her a chandelier from Il Bucco that she has always admired. It's now "hanging in our dining room in L.A.," he has said.

Hendricks isn't the only Mad Men actress who is tying the knot. Elisabeth Moss, who plays Peggy, is currently planning her wedding with SNL star Fred Armisen.
