LOS ANGELES, Calif. -- Macaulay Culkin's older sister, Dakota Culkin, has died after being struck by a moving vehicle, Access Hollywood has learned.
On the night of Tuesday December 9 just before 11 PM, Dakota stepped in front of a car traveling on Lincoln Blvd. near Jefferson Way in West Los Angeles and was hit, the LAPD told Access.

The driver stopped and administered first aid to Dakota before she was taken to the UCLA Medical center.
Dakota passed away on Wednesday at 12:45 PM.

A rep for Macaulay Culkin told Access that it was a "terrible tragic accident" and the family had no further comment.
LAPD detectives told Access that the driver, who identified himself to authorities following the accident, was not under influence of drugs or alcohol. Detectives noted that the driver had not committed a crime.
