Britney's family seized a window of opportunity in an attempt to save her life, a source tells Access Hollywood exclusively.
The source, who was called by Lynne Spears in the middle of Britney's hospitalization early this morning, told Access there was a window of opportunity to get Britney help, and the family took it. Also, the source says that the family is in contact with Britney's psychiatrist and other doctor's involved in her treatment.

Lynne believes the UCLA Medical Center will be able to give Britney the help she needs, the source tells Access. Previously, Lynne was fearful Britney's psychiatric issues would lead to her death, leaving Sean Preston and Jayden James without a mother.
The current hospitalization appears to be a very different scene from Britney's previous attempt to get treatment last January.
Spears reportedly went willingly to the UCLA Medical Center, and she's "more comfortable" about receiving medical care, a source close to Britney tells People.
"She'll be in there for at least 72 hours getting evaluated. She might even stay longer," the source tells the magazine. "She's more comfortable this time, she came into the waiting area, had a cigarette, made a joke about being there again. But who knows what will happen. All we can hope for is that she gets better."

A plan was reportedly in place in the event Spears needed medical attention, People reports.
"Something like this has been in the works since the [last trip to Cedars-Sinai Medical Center]. She has been seeing her psychiatrist every day," the source says. "No one thought this would happen this soon, but it was clear if she stayed up for more than three days she'd have to get sent, since that could cause real damage. The last time she slept was Saturday."

The source goes on to tell People, the arrangement to get Spears help worked out just as planned.
"The motorcade and everything was planned, it was already in the works to have them block off the road and airspace. It worked out perfectly," the source close to Spears said.
