Lindsay Lohan spent less than five hours in jail before being released, TMZ reports.

On Sunday night, the 25-year-old actress checked into the Century Regional Detention Facility in Lynwood, Calif., at 8:48 p.m. and was out by 1:30 a.m. because of overcrowding — a routine, federally mandated move for nonviolent offenders at packed prisons.

Lindsay Lohan headed back to jail — but for how long?

Last week, Lohan was sentenced to 30 days in jail for violating her probation stemming from a DUI. Besides the jail time, Judge Stephanie Saunter ordered that she serve 12 days of community service and attend four psychotherapy sessions before returning to court on Dec. 14.

After the court date she must attend four more sessions and serve another 12 days of community service before Jan. 17. If she fails to complete the mandated hours, she faces a 270-day jail sentence.

Since her 2007 DUI, Lohan has been sentenced to jail five times.
