LOS ANGELES, Calif. -- "American Idol" sent two contestants home on Wednesday evening -- and neither of them were Matt Giraud.

Matt, who was brought back from elimination via the judges' save last Wednesday, wasn't even in the bottom three this week. Instead, it was Lil Rounds and Anoop Desai who were sent home. Flame-haired teenager Allison Iraheta was also in the bottom three.

Lil Rounds once again sang Chaka Khan 's "I'm Every Woman," her disco week number, before the judges offered some goodbye praise.

"What a classy way to go, singing on the top of your game," Paula Abdul said.

"Lil, baby, you're just on your way. This is just the beginning!" Randy Jackson added.

And even Simon, who slammed the singer over the last two weeks, kindly offered her some kind parting words.

"I still a massive fan of you," he said before noting he was "actually gonna miss your family screaming at us every week."

And as for Anoop, he said he was sad to leave the show, after he received his exit news from show host, Ryan Seacrest , at the end of the broadcast.

"I'm so really disappointed," he said. "I really am."

But, he noted, he was looking forward to returning to his hometown of Chapel Hill, N.C.

I think Adam is going to win. He has what it takes to go all the way to the end. We just can wait to see what song Adam is going to sing next. He just blows us away every time.

It was time for Lil to go but the good thing is they are going on tour. Maybe by then she will realize she got lost in the shuffle. She talked back to much all she had to do was listen to what they were saying. Simon Cowell always get it right when he say it maybe your last night he is usually right. Poor song choices something good will happen for her and her family.

Lil should have sung Whitney Houston's version of "I'm Every Woman" that starts off slow and then gets up beat. It would have showed off her vocal range better. She also needs to lose the hideous hair weaves and wigs.

Anoop should have stayed to be at least top 5, if the judges didn't save Matt last week, he would have and it looks like they (the producers/the judges) did this on purpose. I thought the save for the best, like say, if Alison were to be voted off because she is a much better singer than Matt ever could be.... I am getting so turned off by this year's idol tactics....

That was a horrible song choice for Lil Rounds, she didnt even try to hit the main note in the song which made her look and sound bad. She should have chose a song that fits her voice. It just sounded like a lot of hollering.

Ah...Adam! Adam has talent, creativity and wonderful stage presence -- the "star" package. What gets me is that when the contestants are asked if they felt bad about a poor song choice/rendition...they all say -- I wanted to have fun! HELLO! You are not there for a play-date!!! Winning would bring you money, fame, etc. No one spends the time and money, forsaking all else, to

The next person to go will probably be Danny or Allison. Kris has been a pleasant surprise in the last few weeks. Allison can sing like crazy but her stage presence is a little scary! I wonder what her natural hair color is. Her appearance has not improved like most of the other idols when they get to this point. Her choice in clothing is wierd too. Allison will probably go next.

America got this one right. Lil did herself in with poor song choices and an attitude that was off-the-charts. What record company wants to sign anyone who is so argumentative about everything? (Note in point: Kelly C. pulled that routine and her career nose-dived)...Anoop just didn't have what it took to stay on. All of his songs sounded alike. Simon was right about these too! Simon
