Liam Hemsworth Addresses Miley Cyrus' Marijuana Controversy

Liam Hemsworth Addresses Miley Cyrus' Marijuana Controversy

When Liam Hemsworth auditioned for The Last Song in 2009, he had no idea what to expect.

"I just had an audition with Miley Cyrus!" he recalls telling his older brother Chris, also an actor, in the March issue of Details. "How funny is that?"

Hemsworth, now 22, eventually got the part -- and the film's leading lady.

"What happened happened, and we've been together two and a half years," Hemsworth says. "She makes me really happy. When you start, you want to be professional, but when you're filming those scenes with someone and pretending to love them, you're not human if you don't feel something."

When filming wrapped, The Hunger Games star went back to Nashville with Cyrus and her famous family. "[Billy Ray] is very spiritual," Hemsworth says. "He's just one of the nicest guys. Very accommodating. I've listened to his music since we got together. It's awesome."

The Southern family also introduced him to Cracker Barrel. "I'd never heard of country-fried steak before. It's great!" Hemsworth raves. "I love fried food."

Not every aspect of Hemsworth's relationship is so picture-perfect. When Cyrus joked that she "smokes way too much f-cking weed" at her 19th birthday, the video went viral -- and Hemsworth became livid.

"She's in a room full of her best friends," the actor tells Details. "And you have one person who comes in there and videos it. The poor girl can't have one night where she can feel safe in her own world. It's ridiculous."

With friends like that who needs enemies? I like what Adele does...she "puts stuff out there" and tells different friends different things...so when it leaks she knows just WHO put it out there and kicks their a.s.s. to the curb. Smart girl. You'd be wise to kick your so called friends to the curb too Miley...and learn to keep your mouth shut too. Have your friends check their phones and cameras at the door too.

According to a survey, 102 million Americans(41% of the population) have smoked marijuana at least once in a lifetime. 26 million(10%) have used it in the past year, 15 million(6%) use it regularly.

      By age group:

3% of teens age 12-13 have tried pot.
15% of teens age 14-15 have tried pot.
31% of teens age 16-17 have tried pot.
45% of teens age 18-20 have tried pot(Miley is 19).
54% of teens age 21-25 have tried pot.

How is this a big deal? Oh that's right this country if full of hypocrites.

And that was just marijuana. The percentage of americans who have used any illicit drug: 13% of teens age 12-13, 25% of teens age 14-15, 39% of teens age 16-17, 52% of teens age 18-20, 60% of teens age 21-25.

I don't like Miley Cyrus. She isn't talented, she isn't very pretty, and she doesn't seem all that bright, but to those saying she's a bad role model for smoking pot, remember that little kids don't read tabloids. They don't know she's doing it unless their parents tell them. They also won't know the difference between Miley smoking pot and mommy or daddy smoking a cigarette. What kind of parent ruins a child's image of their role model over something like that?

This, like the angry fist of Thor.

All she has to do is follow Tommy Chong's advice and everything will be fine!

As long as it's just weed, we should be praising her! In reality, when I see real teens getting in trouble for smoking pot, they usually have to go through a lot of hoops with drug testing and drug classes via there state. The ONLY thing that gets accomplished here, is the people with drug problems learn that you can do the harder drugs, and take pills, because they won't show up on drug screens after up to 3 days of taking the harder drugs and pills. This is silly! The side effects of pot are hungry, happy, sleeply, horny, and paranoia. You can come back down from this high perfectly fine, like tobacco, but the harder drugs, and pills are the problem...

Miley get high. Period. That is not someone who deserves to make money off of children. She's a horrible role model.

Another bad example for teen fans. A better choice would be Sierra Hull.

Liam Hemsworth you can do better. Dope head is a dope head and will always be a dope head until the end of time. Get out while you are young and hope she does not drag you down the gutter with her. Get a date with Kate Upton, she is more your type.
