Since his breakout performance in the film "The Basketball Diaries" and his meteoric rise to teen heartthrob status following the box office blockbuster "Titanic," Golden Globe winner Leonardo DiCaprio has been careful to make the right moves when it comes to his career and his personal life.
Not one to be photographed drunkenly leaving a club, Leo instead focuses on developing strong personal relationships. That's why the "Inception" star's recent breakup with supermodel Bar Refaeli after five years together was so shocking. But since then, Leo hasn't been out partying, living the single life. Instead, he's been spending time with "Gossip Girl" star Blake Lively. The pair have been photographed all over the world together, and according to Us, Blake recently flew to Australia to spend a long weekend with Leo while he works on "The Great Gatsby."
It's no secret that Leo's into living an eco-friendly lifestyle. He's been driving a Toyota Prius for quite some time, and according to the Daily Mail, Leo recently picked up a hybrid for new girlfriend Blake Lively, who'd been driving a Range Rover. Even more telling of his commitment to saving Mother Earth, Leo runs the Leonardo DiCaprio Foundation, a group dedicated to preserving the planet's resources.
In addition to romancing starlets and saving the planet, Leo's been busy topping the Forbes list of Hollywood's highest-earning actors. Leo moved from fifth place to first place in the list this year, raking in a whopping $75 million. According to Forbes, Leo's dedication to working with quality directors contributes to his high earning power. His recent films "Shutter Island" directed by Martin Scorsese and "Inception" directed by Christopher Nolan together earned over a billion dollars.
Judging by his list of current and upcoming projects, Leo continues to team up with talented directors. Currently, he's in Australia working on his role as Jay Gatsby opposite Tobey Maguire in "The Great Gatsby" with director Baz Luhrmann, who directed a much younger Leo in "Romeo + Juliet," one of the films that helped launch Leo's career. Leo's also planning to work with Quentin Tarantino, playing bad guy plantation owner Calvin Candie in the upcoming movie "Django Unchained," which will also star Jamie Foxx and Samuel L. Jackson.
