Kate Hudson turned 30 with a A-list birthday bash at her mom Goldie Hawn 's Pacific Palisades home Friday night.

The party for Hudson -- whose real birthday was Sunday -- kicked off around 8 p.m. Kurt Russell was even spotted outside welcoming guests.

Matthew McConaughey and Camila Alves were the first to head home just before 10:30 p.m. Just before 11, Leonardo DiCaprio and Cher arrived separately and celebrated until nearly 2 a.m.

Ashton Kutcher -- still celebrating his Twitter win over CNN -- and wife Demi Moore headed out around 11:20. A few minutes later, Gwen Stefani and her No Doubt bandmate and ex Tony Kanal called it a night.

Gwyneth Paltrow and Chris Martin were late arrivals. The couple showed up around midnight and left at 2 a.m.

Shortly before 1 a.m., stylist Rachel Zoe and Jessica Alba and Cash Warren headed out separately.

Adam Sandler and Steven Spielberg left at 1:30 a.m., while Zach Braff followed out the door at 1:40.

IT'S NOT like all these peeps are best friends, give me a break! this was a Academy Award event for most stars to a party. Kate is not that special or loved unless you're counting the ones she bedded, now that would be a high number. She's kinda a sleaze. Loose woman if ya know what I mean.
