  I ran out of room. Continual adultery could be considered emotional abuse, really. Anyway, if the affair is new and not very involved AND she told him bye-bye, then I think this couple has a chance. If she's not willing to stop and get help, then forget it - they haven't a prayer.

  You cannot "work on a relationship" and have an affair at the same time. One has got to go. She would do well to ditch the playboy and try to work things out with her husband if he is willing to do that. To me, there are only three good reasons to get a divorce - continual, unrepentant adultery, extreme drug/alcohol abuse, and spousal abuse - physical, verbal, or emotional.
