Kristen Stewart covers the October 2012 issue of British Vogue and we're not particularly excited about the final result. The Gucci black, blue and green floral wrap dress she's wearing in the cover photo is fabulous, but her mug for the camera is expressionless. The "Twilight" star is known for showing very little emotion on her face, but this particular snap shows zero life. It seems as if she's thinking "Okay let's finish this so I can get home." It also looks like the dress is wearing her instead of the other way around. While she had a completely bland cover for the magazine, several other celebs before her rocked their shoots and turned out fantastic covers for Vogue.
The "Les Miserables" actress graced the January 2009 cover of Vogue and looked so relatable it made us want to be her friend. That's what a great cover is supposed to do - evoke a feeling and draw the readers in. In the photo, she's wearing a halter dress with a sweetheart neckline and dangling gold ball earrings. The then 26-year-old is sporting kohl-rimmed eyes, red lipstick and a short wind-blown hairdo.
The singer covered the April 2009 Vogue cover and while the blue dress leaves something to be desired, the photo overall is superb. Granted, it's not particularly edgy and it may not be her best picture even though she looks beautiful, but the cover draws you in for the amount of power she exudes. We don't mean star power although she obviously has that; we're referring to overall strength and confidence. Despite the wonderful photo, quite a few were offended and questioned whether or not the cover was racist.
In February 2009, the "Gossip Girl" actress covered Vogue magazine and looked the epitome of glamor and elegance. She was donning old-Hollywood style waves, red lips and a black halter dress that had a plunging neckline and a yellow sash around the waist. A chunky bracelet completed the look. The then 21-year-old looked incredible and from the hair to the ensemble, the styling was absolutely perfect. Although it's a beautiful photo, there was still an uproar from some who weren't pleased that a TV star was on the cover of the biggest fashion magazine in the world despite the fact that she's also known for her fabulous fashion sense.
