The actress - who was originally scheduled to appear with Robert Pattinson at Thursday's MTV Video Music Awards - instead headed to Canada on Wednesday wearing what appeared to be Robert's old T-shirt (or an identical replica of a shirt the "Cosmopolis" actor was photographed wearing while walking his dog in July, 2011).

Kristen headed north to attend a Thursday screening of her latest film, "On The Road," at the Toronto International Film Festival.
As for Robert, the 26-year-old will appear at the VMAs as planned to promote the final installment of "The Twilight Saga," according to People.

Also on hand at the VMAs will be Taylor Lautner, who (along with Robert and other "Twilight" actors) will introduce 90 seconds of never-before-seen "Breaking Dawn - Part 2" footage.
