Kristen Stewart Customizes Vans Shoes for Charity: Would You Wear Them?

Kristen Stewart is getting a kick out of designing sneakers for charity!

The Twilight Saga actress, 21, joins a roster of stylish a-listers including Whitney Port, Lauren Conrad and Rachel Bilson for the Vans Custom Couture campaign, which launched on Wednesday.

    PHOTOS: Kristen's style slip-ups

The footwear brand's initiative will help fund high school arts programs through a contest where students can customize their own Vans sneakers for a chance to win $50,000 for their school.

PHOTOS: Rob and Kristen's awkward romance

Stewart's simplistic kicks adorned with just a scribbled "K" and "S" along with the rest of the Vans celeb ambassadors' designs will serve as inspiration for the students as they go through this year's competition. The star has been a lontime fan of Vans sneakers, and even sported them at her Hand and Footprint Ceremony in November where she paired a black and white checked style with a short Marios Schwab dress.

okay that isn't designing, thats just writing her initials on them with a sharpie. seriously? any celeb can do that. heck a two year old can do that and it would have more effort then that. sorry if it offends someone but that isn't designing a pair of vans.

Donating to charity is a wonderful thing, regardless of the shoes!

Wow. Real original there, K-Stew. You definitely don't get an A for effort.

Something's wrong here because I am not getting the picture of the shoes. So, I will comment based on what I am reading here. Seriously???

I love her, but these are butt-ugly and I would never wear them. You'd think she could have put in a little more effort, seeing as how it's for charity. Kinda disappointing!

I'm really not surprised that she couldn't come up with anything other than her initials.

Why would anyone who doesn't have those initials wear them? Why not make something that everyone can wear. A lot of people think Twilight is far inferior to Harry Potter as it is, why would they choose to be known for buying something related to Twilight? Even if she put a sad face on the shoes to represent her stoic expression it would have been slightly more appealing to buyers.

Her design ability ranks right up there with her acting ability NIL - good grief - that is just insulting - and I cant think of ANYONE that would wear them............
