Kristen Stewart and Robert Pattinson are definitely on the mend -- Rob bought his ladylove a very lavish gift for her 23rd birthday.
However, he didn't spend big bucks on a splashy engagement ring or a pair of diamond-studded Converse sneakers. Instead he bought his girlfriend a $46,000 pen. Apparently Kristen is an avid collector of the writing implements, so he purchased a rare Tibaldi Bentley Crewe fountain pen made out of white gold. There are only 40 of them in the world, so K-Stew better not chew the lid up.
A pen might seem like an odd present, but celebrities have gotten stranger gifts for their birthdays -- after all, you've got to get creative when you're buying something for a star who can afford anything in the world that they want. Here's a look at a few other bizarre birthday gifts that celebrities have received:
A diamond-studded whip
A "nipple vibrator"
In 2011, talk show host Ellen DeGeneres decided to give guest Jennifer Aniston a very special birthday surprise. Ellen convinced the actress to place a pair of vibrating pads inside her blouse, prompting Jen to joke, "Am I getting milked? What's happening?"
A "big booty hoe"
Before her 20th birthday, Miley Cyrus tweeted, "If I don't get at least one big booty hoe my friends are officially not my friends anymore." After her big birthday bash, she let her fans know that she got her wish by writing, "Great night last night. Thanks to everyone who celebrated with me. And yes, I did get a big booty hoe 4 my birfday." Photos also surfaced showing the pop star grabbing a handful of a female stripper's behind, so she definitely wasn't lying about getting her bizarre birthday wish inspired by 2 Chainz' "Birthday Song."
A toilet mug and an Obama mannequin
Back when British boy band One Direction first got together, cheeky prankster Harry Styles scared the pants off of band mate Niall Horan by bursting in the bathroom and taking a photo of his friend on the toilet (well, he didn't technically scare the pants off of his pal since they were already down). Here's what Niall told the Metro about how Harry turned the magic moment into a birthday gift: "Two weeks later for my birthday, I got a present from him and it was a mug with a picture of me on the toilet on it. You have to pour hot water in and then the picture shows up." Niall must really enjoy getting strange gifts, because his band mates also got the big Barack Obama fan a life-sized wax model of the president for his 18th birthday.
Life-sized One Direction dolls
Niall also became a mannequin when singer Cheryl Cole ordered five life-sized One Direction dolls for her pal Katy Perry. Now that Katy and John Mayer have split, perhaps the boy band replicas are keeping her company.
A kiss from Madonna
It's hard to top Angelina Jolie's romantic gift for Brad Pitt -- she allegedly bought her lover a waterfall for his 48th birthday so that someday he can build a house inspired by the work of architect Frank Lloyd Wright.
A sewing machine
This is the boring gift that Katie Holmes got from Tom Cruise for her 32nd birthday -- why would she want to create her own clothes with crooked hemlines when she can afford the finest designer duds? No wonder things didn't work out for TomKat.
