For the most part, Kim Kardashian has a pretty good fashion sense. Well that was until she started dating rapper Kanye West. Since the reality starlet took up with the rapper, she's sported several pairs of shoes that had fashion critics up in arms. In mid-August, she stepped out in Hawaii wearing a pair of black Givenchy Shark fold-over wedge knee-high boots and followed up that appearance by wearing the same pair in cream while on a recent outing in NYC. To make it even worse, she wore the cream boots with a below-the-knee dress. The monstrosities also cost a whopping $1,695 a pair. What was she thinking?
While we would chalk it up to a momentary lapse in fashion judgment, it's not the first time in recent months she's donned unattractive footwear.
Kanye West boots
On August 1, the reality star tweeted "Killin' it today in my Kanye West boots!" along with a photo of her wearing black thigh-high boots that had horizontal straps from top-to-bottom. It's nice that she's so supportive of her man, but those boots resemble the hideous walking boot one wears when they have a foot injury. Kanye is clearly getting his inspiration from all the wrong places and she should move on to footwear that doesn't make us wonder if she broke her ankle.
Giuseppe Zanotti x Kanye West shoes
If your jaw dropped at the price tag for the Givenchy boots, prepare yourself for the price tag on the heels she wore to Yeezy's show at Paris Fashion Week in March. The horrific Giuseppe Zanotti x Kanye West shoes cost a whopping $6,000. Right before the show, she tweeted "I J'adore My Shoes Tonight!" along with a photo of the stilettos. The cream-and-black colored heels are comprised of thick ankle cuffs, calf leather and embroidered pearls and are nowhere near worth the high price tag. She's repeatedly worn them since the fashion show debut, most recently in a tweeted photo from September 3.
We're thinking her decline in fashion taste may have to do with Kanye. Do you agree?
