Kim Kardashian: Runaway Wife?
Sunday night brought with it a double dose of the Kardashians, with two back-to-back half hour episodes of Kourtney and Kim Take New York. The demise of Kim Kardashian and Kris Humphries' 72-day marriage became more apparent then ever in this week's installments of the reality TV soap opera.
The sisters wanted out of the concrete jungle for a weekend, so they whisked Mason away to Mystic Seaport, CT. The big boys were left alone in the city once again to stir up trouble. Out of work due to the NBA lockout, Kris accepted an offer to appear in Toronto to earn some money. Kim sternly told him not to go, but he convinced Scott Disick, against his own better judgment, to hop on a plane bound for our neighbors to the north.
While at dinner in Mystic, Kim found out via Twitter that her hubby had left the country against her will. "Things like this [are] what breaks trust," she said. Upon confronting him back in NY, Kris sheepishly admitted, "I made a mistake… Part of me is not used to being married yet."
Kourtney was equally upset with Scott for not giving her fair notice of his Canadian voyage, but opted to have "an adult conversation with him" and suggested they'd benefit from a therapy session to work through the issue. Scott agreed and confessed, "I am on some kind of leash and I love it."
They say distance makes the heart grow fonder, but that is not so in the dramedy of Kim and Kris. Momager Kris Jenner and Kim left their men stateside as they embarked on an exotic business trip to Dubai. The newlywed had a heart-to-heart with her mom, dropping the bomb that "there is something in my relationship that I feel isn't right… Married life just isn't what I thought it'd be with him." Kim battled a "guilty" feeling of experiencing "a sense of relief" for being so far away from her new spouse.
Kris J. reacted by saying, "It's not normal that you don't want to go home to your brand new husband." She spoke of her 10-year honeymoon phase with first husband Robert Kardashian.
Getting some alone time with Kris H. during her NY visit, Khloe Kardashian-Odom confronted her new brother-in-law about married life. He squirmed and seemed distracted, all in an effort to avoid answering her pointed questions. During the broadcast of the episode, Kris H. tweeted, "I can't wait for the truth to come out! People will be surprised or maybe they won't. #FCC."
