Kim Kardashian and her sister Kourtney Kardashian just received a special honor - the keys to the city of North Miami. The pair is filming their show "Kourtney and Kim Take Miami" in the area after they were rejected from living/filming in nearby cities. They were reportedly over an hour late for the ceremony, which was supposed to start at 11:30 a.m., but had plenty of fans waiting for them at City Hall when they arrived. Khloe also received the honor, but was unable to make the ceremony. Other than getting the keys to the city, what else has Kim been up to lately?
It's no secret that the reality star has quite a few haters, and ever since her pro-Israel tweet, she's gained herself many more. On November 16, she tweeted "Praying for everyone in Israel." She then was met with people telling her she should die along with other various insults. She followed up her initial tweet with one that read "praying for everyone in Palestine and across the world!" The backlash continued and she took both tweets down, but in the technology age, it was too late. Later that day, she posted a message on her blog about the controversy and said " I want to own up to and explain that earlier today I sent out two tweets about saying prayers for the people in Palestine and Israel and after hearing from my followers, I decided to take down the tweets because I realized that some people were offended and hurt by what I said, and for that I apologize. I should have pointed out my intentions behind these tweets when I posted them. The fact is that regardless of religion and political beliefs, there are countless innocent people involved who didnt choose this, and I pray for all of them and also for a resolution. I also pray for all the other people around the world who are caught in similar crossfires."
Marine Corps ball date
On November 15, the 32-year-old made one Marine a very happy guy when she was his date for the Marine Corps Ball in Greenville, North Carolina. Sgt. Martin Gardner wore his dress uniform while KK wore a bright red body-hugging Roland Mouret gown. She wrote two posts about the event on her blog; one that showed her and her date posing for a formal photo and a second photo of the pair along with a post that read " I had a great time at the Marine Corps Ball on Thursday night in North Carolina with Sgt. Martin Gardner. Thanks to all of the marines I had the opportunity to meet at the event! Thank you for all that you do!"
Rumors were flying that the designer was snubbed by Duchess Catherine after she sent the Royal samples of clothing from the Kardashian Kollection, which recently launched in Britain.
