Stars Tweet Support For President Obama’s Gay Marriage Endorsement
President Obama publicly endorsed gay marriage — and celebrities such as Kim Kardashian & Rachel Zoe took to Twitter to show their gratitude!
President Obama has just taken a definitive stance on one of the most controversial and politically charged social issues of the decade: same-sex marriage!
“At a certain point, I’ve just concluded that for me personally it is important for me to go ahead and affirm that I think same-sex couples should be able to get married,” Obama said during a televised interview on May 9.
Within minutes, various celebrities took to their Twitter accounts to praise Obama’s message of equality.
“Thank you, President Obama! No more living in the past!” tweeted Kim Kardashian.
“Thank you Mr. President for your support of gay marriage…” wrote hip-hop mogul Russell Simmons.
“Such an exciting day!!!” echoed fashion stylist Rachel Zoe.
“Almost all of the NY trends listed on Twitter right now are about marriage equality. Amazing!” posted Real Housewives of New York star Ramona Singer.
