LOS ANGELES, Calif. -- Kim Kardashian has expressed her gratitude for the outpouring of support from her fans since news broke that she and boyfriend Reggie Bush had split.

"I just wanted to let you all know that I truly appreciate all the love and support I've been receiving over the last 48 hours," Kim wrote on her official blog.

Kim, who split with NFL star Reggie, only recently said she is hanging in there following the break-up.

"I just want you all to know I'm doing okay," she wrote. "I really appreciate your support."

Kim, 28, began dating the 24-year-old football star in April 2007.

A source close to the former couple previously told Access the split was a "mutual decision."

"Nobody cheated. This was just a case of conflicting schedules and their lives going in different directions," the source told Access.

The couple first met at the 2007 ESPY Awards after they were introduced by mutual friend - and Reggie's former USC teammate, fellow NFL star Matt Leinart.

"We met at the [2007] ESPY Awards," Kim previously told AccessHollywood.com of her initial encounter with Reggie. "My stepdad, Bruce, and I were walking to our seats and Matt called my name. When I went over, he was sitting with Reggie.... Matt introduced me to the love of my life and we will always be grateful."

I am not shocked that they split because athletes are never faithful. She can find somebody better and more deserving.
