Kim Kardashian raised a bunch of eyebrows this weekend when she hosted a Halloween party - dressed as Poison Ivy - without her new husband Kris Humphries. Now we know why: Kardashian is filing divorce papers in Los Angeles this morning, according to TMZ.
"We found out Kim's filing for divorce this morning... INSANE. They never even got along," TMZ chief Harvey Levin tweeted Monday morning. The website added to the tweet with a post on their website.
"We're told even though the marriage was short, she will not seek an annulment. It's a garden variety divorce, in which Kim cites 'irreconcilable differences,'" TMZ reported.
Kardashian has an iron-clad prenuptial agreement and lists the separation as Oct. 31, 2011, according to TMZ.
The reality star hasn't came out and confirmed the news yet, but friend and E! honcho Ryan Seacrest confirmed the news in a tweet.
Kardashian Divorce: Not Surprising
Many criticized Kardashian's rush to the altar after only dating New Jersey Nets player Humphries for a few months. The lavish, made-for-television wedding was a tacky affair, too.
The only thing real about the wedding? Humprhies' fights with Kardashian's smarter sister, Khloe Kardashian.
It actually looks like Humphries was a pawn in Kardashian's fame game - she reportedly "shopped around" for basketball player husbands before she settled on Humphries.
"E! television producers contacted Danilo Gallinari, a player for the New York Knicks, to see if he was interested in starring on a reality show and dating the 31-year-old reality star," The U.K. Daily Mail reported last week.
"Danilo said he would love to meet Kim but was not interested in dating her or being on a reality show,' the paper reported. "Even though E! explained it would be great for his career, Gallinari turned the offer down."
Maybe Gallinari believes that relationships and marriages should be real, not for television shows.
Will the Divorce Be Televised?
Kardashian and Humphries just left New York City after filming another season of "Kourtney and Kim take New York." We're assuming much of their marriage will be displayed on camera, though we're wondering if the divorce will make it into the show.
Or, will we have "Kim Kardashian's Fairytale Divorce" in a few months?
