Kevin Smith: "I'm Really, Really Fat Right Now"

"I'm really, really fat right now," director Kevin Smith says in a new post on his blog. "Fattest I've ever been."

How fat?

"I broke a toilet. That's how heavy I am," he tells the Los Angeles Times. "I can't take all the credit -- that was an old toilet and a very waterlogged wall -- but my size took that toilet down.

"I cannot cognitively reframe it and be like, 'It wasn't me -- it was the toilet,'" the 38-year-old goes on. "It was definitely me. And that's a wake-up call!"

After his raunchy new comedy Zack and Miri Make a Porno opens today, he says he plans to diet.

"I'm going away for a while," he said, "to concentrate on myself. To save my life."

It won't be easy.

"The results of this movie [Zack and Miri] will be interesting," adds the pal of Ben Affleck.

"Come opening weekend, if it does well, I'll want to reward myself by eating more," he added. "And if the movie does poorly, I imagine I'll want to self-medicate and eat more. Hollywood's a hard town to be fat in!"
