Kelsey Grammer walks out on TV interview after seeing photo of ex-wife Camille

Kelsey Grammer was not in the mood to talk about his ex-wife last night.

The seasoned actor was moments away from sitting down with Piers Morgan for an interview on Wednesday when the “Boss” star unexpectedly changed his mind and abruptly left the studio moments before air time after a teaser for his appearance on the show included a photo of his third wife, Camille, with whom he has an acrimonious relationship.

The “Piers Morgan Tonight” host took to Twitter after Grammer, 57, suddenly bailed on his interview. “Kelsey Grammer was supposed to be on my show now but ran out of the building. Strange,” Morgan wrote. Soon after, he offered an explanation, noting, “So, Kelsey saw a photo of his ex wife Camille in the open to our show and legged it. Extraordinary. Never had this happen before. ... I like Kelsey personally, but this was a shockingly unprofessional thing to do. I wasn't even going to mention his ex-wife!” Morgan added that he had a “very friendly chat” with Grammer backstage prior to the show, at which time the actor said he was “really looking forward to the interview.”

Morgan couldn’t resist tossing in a few jabs, of course. In addition to calling Grammer a “tiresome diva,” he tweeted the next day, “I’ll be on Jimmy Fallon tonight – and relax Jimmy, unlike my guest Mr. Grammer last night, I won’t run away.”

Grammer hasn’t gotten into specifics as to why he stormed out of the studio, but his rep Stan Rosenfield, told omg!, "Piers needs to take responsibility for what he did to Kelsey. It's called accountability."

It’s no secret that Grammer’s relationship with the “Real Housewives of Beverly Hills” star – whom he dumped in 2010 after beginning an affair with his current wife, Kayte – is fractured. In fact, when Grammer sat down with Oprah Winfrey last month, the actor refused to utter his ex-wife’s name during the interview. But he did say that his 13-year marriage to the one-time Playboy pin-up was over before it started.

“I stayed because I’m a stubborn cuss,” Grammer said during the OWN interview. “I was not in it, or happy in it, for a long time. It was pretty much over as soon as it began.” The actor, who has two young children with Camille, noted that their relationship won’t be mended anytime soon – if ever."Some threats were made," he told Winfrey. "Some extremely unacceptable behavior took place in front of the children, which makes it impossible for us to pretend that we can be civil. It needs to be handled by other people.”

In the same interview, Grammer’s fourth wife, Kayte – with whom he has an infant daughter – appeared and talked about being “the other woman,” having started dating Grammer six months before he and Camille filed for divorce in June 2010. “I’m not proud of the way we started out because he was in a marriage,” Kayte said. “I felt terrible ... but I fell in love." Grammer then openly gushed about his new bride, saying, “She’s genuine, she’s real. And knows how to love.”

As for Grammer’s relationship with Morgan, we don’t think that it will be mended anytime soon either. But Morgan probably doesn’t mind as he’s currently caught up in a few celebrity feuds. The 47-year-old British TV host has publicly slammed both Kate Moss and Madonna, calling the supermodel “utterly horrific” and “vile,” and referring to the singer as “grotesque” and a “con artist.”
