"If she can empower one other woman who feels like they can't get out of bed, or get through the day, whatever the loss, it'll be worthwhile sharing her story," Maria Shriver who hosts the conference, told People.

Preston, the wife of John Travolta, will be joined on the panel by John Edward's wife Elizabeth and actress Susan St. James. Both women have lost sons too.

"Their goal is, 'If I can help one other woman through this then it will be worth it,'" Shriver, the wife of California Governor Arnold Schwarzenegger, said.

Kate Gosselin, from TLC's "Jon & Kate Plus 8" will also speak for 15 minutes at the conference. She was invited to speak at the event prior to beginning divorce procedures against her husband of 10 years, Jon Gosselin.

"I think her life has certainly changed dramatically, but so be it," Shriver told the Associated Press about the reality TV mom.. "I think that's the beauty of this conference -- to have Madeleine Albright and Kate Gosselin at the same place."

This is making a mockery of everything that is good about a Women's Conference. Kate attending gives credence to her money making abuse of her kids. Kate has abused her parents, her sister in law, her husband and her kids. KIDS ARE NOT CHATTEL Maria Shriver? Do you agree or not???

Kelly if that's what she want to do and she can find some comfort in speaking to others about it then yes go for it. I wish you the best both you and John I can not imagine what it must be like to lose a child and I hope I will never have to go through it the pain I see on others face and the raw emotions is too much to bare.
