'Keeping Up With the Kardashians' wedding part 2 has finally arrived. The anticipation of seeing the event on film has been a lot for some, but a lot also occurred. So we will cover some of the top highlights in the two hour special.
Khloe & Kris continue to fued.
As of last episode, Khloe Kardashian and Kris Humphries were at each other's throats. The tension even got so much that Khloe accused him of using sister, Kim Kardashian, for fame. This resulted in Kim uninviting Khloe to her wedding. Eventually, thanks to the bachelorette party, the feud was put to rest!
Kris & Bruce Jenner run some errands.
Since Khloe was originally uninvited to the wedding/bachelorette, Kris Jenner and Bruce Jenner were put up to the task of buying goodies for Kim's bachelorette. It definitely led to some hilarious awkwardness as Bruce lurked around the store in sunglasses and a hat, hoping no one would identify him.
Bachelor & Bachelorette Party
Kris and Kim both have their parties in Las Vegas! Kim has hers at Tao while Kris has his at Lavo. The party is wild and Khloe and Kim are glad to have made up. Kris and Lamar Odom even do a little man bonding at the party. At the end of the night, though, the two lovebirds end up in the same nest.
At the wedding shower, Kim exclaims how perfect everything has turned out. The wedding is becoming her dream. During the party, she casually mentions to a couple friends that she would like to change her last name to Humphries. This drives her mother over the edge. Momma Kris confronts Kim, saying that "Britney Spears" didn't change her name. I understand the concern about the brand name, but it was definitely insensitive to confront Kim at her shower.
The family watches Kendall Jenner and Kylie Jenner compete at a cheer competition. I guess since they are now trying to incorporate the whole family in the show it is necessary, but it was a snoozefest. The momager once again cannot stop mentioning Kim's potential last name change.
There is one specific scene of family bonding that is very touching when Kim breaks down about her father not being there on her wedding day. As you might know her father passed away when she was young, and Bruce has been there ever since. It was nice to see what a great bond they had, and it also showed Kris how much he wanted to be there for his wife-to-be.
Kris & Kim Fight Over Wedding Details.
The seating chart is constructed as Kris plays with a toy airplane. The difference between a five year old and this twenty-six year old is starting to be questionable. Regardless, I do have to cut the guy some slack. Kim keeps claiming throughout the whole special that Kris will have say in the wedding, but every suggestion he makes is shot down. Kim exclaims, "Every time I ask Kris to do something, it takes him about a week to accomplish it." The heat of the wedding definitely affects the couple to the point where the wedding is more stressful than exciting, but that can be normal at times. They even have to uninvite some guests because there are 150 too many.
The most important argument was about Kim keeping her last name as Kardashian. This causes Kris to freak out, questioning everything that he wants. Obviously, this is eventually solved.
Here Comes the Bride
Kim cannot decide between two dresses made by Vera Wang. So she picks both! They are gorgeous dresses, and the dramatic costume change suits her. Kim's mom tears up because the wedding is getting real.
Everything is in "black, white, and sparkle," exactly the way Princess Kardashian wanted it. Kris gives Kim a gorgeous diamond knotted bracelet with two dangling K's. It was a beautiful ceremony, and all the tension is forgotten. Wolfgang Puck serves a delicious menu, and Humphries is able to fly out his pastor from Minnesota. In the end, as Kris says, the ceremony is about the love and the union they formed. Hopefully they live happily ever after!
