Katy Perry is "falling from cloud nine" once again.
According to multiple reports, Katy and fellow music superstar John Mayer have split - but was it a bad breakup or will the singers end up as friends?

According to People, Katy, 27, and John, 34, were not all that serious.
"They'll end up as friends," a source told People. "They were honestly having fun. People made it out to be far more than it was."

An Us Weekly source claims that Katy - who divorced Russell Brand earlier this year - has been stung by the split.
"She's really upset about it," the source said of the "Wide Awake" singer.
Another Us source added, "She is making it seem like it wasn't serious with John, but she is hurt."
