She took to her blog Wednesday to deny a false report in New York Daily News that her boyfriend, Gym Class Heroes' Travis McCoy asked her to marry him.

"NOT engaged!" she wrote. "But thanks for the free press, New York Daily News!"
McCoy did give Perry a promise ring over the summer, but the singer claims there haven't been any upgrades.
"You should fact check with the source before you spread world-wide news like that," she added on her blog post, which was titled, "From the horse's mouth."

McCoy has also mentioned that he's not ready to pop the question just yet.
"I guess I'm kind of old school -- it was a token of my affection and a way to show her that I wanted to take it to another level," McCoy told Usmagazine.com in September. "Not the next next level, but a level above where we are at."
