NEW YORK CITY, N.Y. -- Katie Holmes made her official Broadway debut Thursday night at the Gerald Schoenfeld Theare in the brand-new revival of Arthur Miller's "All My Sons," alongside Diane Wiest, John Lithgow and Patrick Wilson.

It was Lithgow's twentieth Broadway opening night.

A host of celebs including Patricia Clarkson, Isabella Rossellini, Dennis Farina, Barbara Walters, Jada Pinkett-Smith and Holmes' husband, Tom Cruise, turned out to see the play.

The play has reportedly taken in $684,002 in its first full week of previews, making it the highest-grossing play on the Great White Way for the week.

Variety commended Katie's performance, saying, "She projects an attractive modesty that makes her part of the ensemble, not an obtrusive bit of celebrity casting."

While the Chicago Tribune said, "[Katie] carries herself with the unmistakable poise and reserve of a much-envied tabloid staple...Holmes does not embarrass herself in any way. But you wish she channeled a little more of her modest origins in Toledo, Ohio, and a little less of her current heightened reality."
