Based on the novel by Jonathan Ames, the film follows a failed playwright (Kline) who works as an escort for rich widows in New York City and eventually develops a mentor-student relationship with a troubled up-and-coming playwright, played by Paul Dano.

No details were available on Katie's role.
"This is a film for our times, these hilarious characters living on the edge of enormous wealth, scrapping for small pieces of the pie," producer Anthony Bregman said. "I suspect a lot of people will be able to identify nowadays."
Production on "The Extra Man" is slated to being in February in New York.

Katie is doing back to back work so she doesn't have to be home with Tom. Wonder if she'll ever work in movies again?
