Katherine and Joe Jackson on Conrad Murray Verdict: "Justice Has Finally Been Served"

Katherine and Joe Jackson said Monday that "justice has finally been served" following the guilty verdict of Dr. Conrad Murray in the death of their son, Michael Jackson.

"We have been waiting for this moment for a very long time and we couldn't hold back tears of joy in the courtroom. Even though nothing can bring back our son, justice has finally been served," the Jacksons said in a statement to TMZ. "We can't wait to go home and share this day with Michael's children."

Conrad Murray found guilty of involuntary manslaughter in Michael Jackson case

Murray, the former private doctor of Michael Jackson, was found guilty of involuntary manslaughter by a unanimous decision Monday. He will be sentenced on Nov. 29 and faces up to four years in prison.

Fifteen members of the Jackson family were in attendance at the verdict Monday, including Joe and Katherine, as well as Michael's sister, LaToya Jackson. "VICTORY!!!!!!," she tweeted an hour after Murray was found guilty and taken to jail. "Michael I love you and I will continue to fight until ALL are brought to justice!"

The King of Pop died on June 25, 2009 from acute propofol intoxication after he suffered a heart attack. He was 50, and is survived by his three children: Prince Michael, Paris Michael Katherine Jackson and Prince Michael II.
