LOS ANGELES, Calif. -- Katherine Heigl and husband Josh Kelley are the proud new parents of a baby girl.

The "Grey's Anatomy" star and her rocker husband have completed their adoption of a child from Korea, a rep for Heigl confirmed to The Associated Press.

The couple named the 10-month-old child Nancy Leigh, after Heigl's mother (Nancy) and sister (Margaret Leigh).

The proud new parents posted pictures of their new daughter on the Web site for The Jason Heigl Foundation.

Jason, Heigl's brother, died in 1986 of brain injuries suffered in a car accident, after being thrown from the back of a pickup truck

In an interview earlier this month on "The Ellen DeGeneres Show," Heigl -- whose Korean-born sister Margaret Leigh was a adopted as a child -- said the child will go by the nickname Naleigh.

"They sent us a picture. They told us that it was a little girl and who she was and the information about six months ago," Katherine, who at the time was still awaiting her daughter's arrival, told Ellen. "It was meant to take a long time. This sort of thing can take years."

However, one reason Heigl and Kelley's adoption was pushed through quicker is because Naleigh is a special needs child.

"She is a special needs baby and because of that it all moved so much faster. They wanted to get her to us as quickly as possible," she added.

And even before she met her daughter, Heigl said she already had a special bond with the baby.

"She was actually born the day before me in November, which I thought was really serendipitous and just kind of like a sign," the actress, whose birthday is November 24, said. "I realized just recently that I basically forfeited my birthday for the rest of my life."
Heigl and Kelley have been married since 2007. It is the first child for both.
