Kate Hudson is the latest celebrity to keep her wedding plans on the hush-hush. The blonde beauty recently addressed a question about when she will officially tie the knot with fiancé Matthew Bellamy, but she managed to keep an aura of mystery about the subject. "I think until the day we get married, the answer is going to be, 'We have no intention right now of getting married," the actress said to USA Today. "And then you'll find out we got married."
The "Almost Famous" star got engaged to Bellamy in the spring of 2011, and the two welcomed son Bingham last July. It looks like the new mom is happy in her love life, which is a good thing considering her dating history. Here is a look back at some of Kate's past romances.
One reason that Kate might be keeping her wedding plans secret is the fact that she was married once before. Kate married rocker Chris Robinson on New Year's Eve in 2000. The Black Crowes singer was more than 10 years older than her, and the couple seemed very happy together. Kate gave birth to son Ryder in 2004, but the marriage hit the skids a couple of years after that. They officially split in 2006, and their divorce was finalized in 2007.
Kate had an up-and-down romance with her "You, Me, and Dupree" co-star that began in 2006. Things seemed to be going well, and the relationship even got the blessing of Owen's famous brother Luke. "He seems very happy," said Luke while the two were still together. However, Kate and Owen split in 2007, although they planned to remain friends. The two briefly got back together, but broke up for good in 2008. According to a source, the split was fairly ugly. "It was a pretty bad breakup," said a friend of the actor. "Owen said it was a tough one. He definitely doesn't want to dwell on it. He wants to put it behind him." Fortunately, both stars moved on.
Kate dated the baseball star in 2009. The actress was a fixture at New York Yankees games during that baseball season, especially when Alex's team won the World Series. The couple was fairly mum on their relationship, but reports surfaced that they had split less than two months after the World Series win. Apparently, many people were stunned about news of the breakup. "Wow, they were happy a week ago," said a source close to the couple.
