The announcement of Kate's special comes less than a week after TLC filed a lawsuit against Jon Gosselin for breaching his contract with the network.
On October 1, only two days after TLC decided to rename the popular reality show "Kate Plus Eight," Jon had an "epiphany" that the show was detrimental to his kids and halted production.

The special will air on the same day that Kate and Jon appear back in the Montgomery Family Court regarding their financial disputes, according to Radar Online.
As previously reported on AccessHollywood.com, during the last court appearance, the judge ordered Jon to return the $180,000 that he had withdrawn from their joint back account by October 26 or face contempt of court. The judge also ordered for Kate to provide accounting records of past expenses by the same date.
