  I do not condone Jon's behavior but it is typical of someone who was in an abusive relationship and now has discovered freedom. Mental/emotional abuse can sometimes be more damaging than physical abuse. Maybe if Kate would have treated Jon like he was equal maybe he wouldn't be acting like a fool.
