On Thursday's Live! With Regis and Kelly, Regis Philbin caught Kate off guard when he told her he thinks Jon will ask for her back and they'll "live happily ever after."

Kate paused, sighed and then paused again.
"You know, we definitely have different goals at this point," she said. "A lot has changed, a lot of unexpected things have came up. It's not ideal and I can't say that I think you're right at all."

Philbin then asked Kate how she would respond if Jon told her to forget about the past and that he wanted to rebuild a future together.
"I don't think I can answer that," she replied. Later, she added, "We can only go forward; we can't go back."
But she said she is aiming to film more scenes with her ex on the show. (Viewers might agree: This past Monday's show attracted only 3.5 million viewers -- down nearly 4 million viewers from the week before.)

"It's still going to be a lot of 'Jon and Kate,' but it's going to be 'Jon and the kids' and 'Kate and the kids,' she said. "I still hold out hope that it will be times where it will be 'Jon and Kate and the kids.' My main goal is to do holidays and things together. I don't know, really. I'm going into uncharted territory sort of. I'm going to be with the kids every second I get."
She admitted that while some days are "better" than others, "most days are still difficult. At this point [the split] is starting to sink in."

She said they don't have a "set schedule" for custody of their eight kids.
"It's based on what I'm doing versus what he's doing," she said. "Surprisingly that is the first peaceful part of it. We do work really well with the kids. I do live there with them, so whoever thought there was a condo or apt out there for me, false!"
She continued, "I do live in the house with the kids and I disappear on my days off.... This is certainly not the life I envisioned for myself. What doesn't kill you makes you stronger. I'm going to be pretty strong until I die."
Kate also mentioned her buzzed-about hair do.

"It's just easy," she said. "There's a Halloween costume out there. It's a wig. I'm actually going to get that wig and put it on a friend of mine so theycan go to the left and I can go to the right, without the paparazzi."

Hig...are you kidding me? She has an entire staff of people raising her kids for her, while she tastelessly airs her relationships dirty laundry on any show that will have her. Meanwhile J is walking around with his d*ck in his hand trying to tag anything that moves. All the while their poor kids are sitting back watching mom and dad behave like 13 yr olds. J & K are both idiots, who are more intrested in pimping out their kids and their lives than behaving like adults. They both need to walk away from their own egos and do something right for their family for a change. The whole thing is disgusting and sad.
