For the 100th episode of their hit TLC show, Jon and Kate Gosselin welcomed celeb chef Emeril Lagasse into their Wernersville, Pa., kitchen, which Kate dubbed "an unsightly mess."

He helped them prepare green bean casserole, granola and chili mac. (The show was taped back in March, months before Us Weekly broke the news of the couple's crumbling marriage.)

Emeril asked Kate if Jon was good in the kitchen.

"Not so much," Kate replied without hesitation.

Later, Kate sarcastically joked to her husband: "Jon, do you know where the oven is?"

"Let me point to it!" he quickly replied.

Kate got a kick that Jon's main assignment was to peel garlic.

"I don't cook," Jon said, "but apparently I am good in the food prep area."

The highlight of the meal for Jon?

Seeing Emeril take over the kitchen.

"That's Kate's territory," Jon explained. "And he went into her territory, which is funny because he took control and pushed her out of the way and did his thing."

Kate still managed to get her say, playfully slapping Emeril with a cooking utensil which she told him was better to use for scraping food out of a bowl.

"I did slap Emeril," Kate later admitted. "Then I went, 'Oh, sorry!'"

While preparing the meal, Emeril congratulated Jon on their 100th episode.

"I don't know how you made it," he told the father of eight.

Replied Jon, "I don't, either."

At the end of the show, the family sat and enjoyed their meal. "It was nice - we sat around with him and ate dinner," said Kate.

Said Jon, "I hope he comes back someday."

Before the show ended, Jon said in a voiceover, "This was a special episode because this was our 100th episode. It's pretty amazing."

"What an accomplishment," Kate said in a voiceover as she gave her family high-fives.

They both have to share the credit for the problems..she shouldn'tspeak to him like that, but then again he should have spoke up long before now. It was no excuse to go out an have a affair. They need some counseling.

This Jon and Kate thing is hard to believe. If he was that unhappy why didn"t he open his mouth and tell her? C'mon Jon, You never held out before on voicing your opinion. What everyone has forgotten is the little ones. These are young children who are innocent of any wrong doing and they are dragged in the middle of this ehole mess-up. Cmon jon and Kate, work this out quickl

I agree, I would not stay married to someone who constantly cuts me down. She showed and still shows him no support. She is money hungry and now only in it for what SHE can get out of it. If you want to stay Married (as you stated in your vowel renewal in Hawaii) then stop the show. I'm tired of watching you roll your eyes everytime your HUSBAND talks or tries to do something

I am sure Jon and Kate are still under contract to TLC, but the best thing TLC and this family could do would be to stop the show now. It has become a freak show for people wanting to watch a crumbling marriage and I feel horrible for the children. They need to go therapy and back to being a regular family and see what that does for the family dynamic.

Kate and Emerial were having a good time. If you bothered to watch the show. John sure is having a good time being single with no parental responsibilities.

Reality TV is a good show, but YOU have to be ready to have a camera around you 24/7. Exposing dirty laundry on TV is not good. People have a habit of making mountains out of molehills! Gossip sells, and if all you care about is money at your family's expense keep it up. Those children will grow up to understand one day that what you really did is choose the money over them. Good luck
