Romance is in the air this holiday season, and a number of celebrities have an extra special reason to celebrate. Four Hollywood couples shared their engagement news this weekend, so they'll be ringing in the new year by putting a ring on it. Here's a look at which newly engaged pairs will be spending a little extra time under the mistletoe this Christmas.
Kat Von D and Deadmau5
On Saturday, DJ Deadmau5 tweeted his marriage proposal to tattoo artist Kat Von D. The 31-year-old said, "I can't wait for Christmas so.... Katherine Von Drachenberg, will you marry me?" Kat, 30, responded with the tweet "Mi corazon! Thank you all for the lovely congratulations! Please excuse me while I go squeeze the hell out of my fiance!" Deadmau5 also shared a picture of the ring, a diamond solitaire flanked by two skulls.
The couple began dating in September; despite a brief breakup in early November, the two reconciled and resumed their relationship. Kat was twice engaged to Sandra Bullock's ex-husband, "Monster Garage" host Jesse James. The pair split for the second time in September 2011, and Von D is currently having a tattoo of his face removed from under her arm.
Kelly Clarkson and Brandon Blackstock
After dropping numerous hints, Kelly Clarkson has finally gotten her engagement ring! The "American Idol" winner broke the news on Saturday, tweeting "I'M ENGAGED!!!!! I wanted y'all to know!! Happiest night of my life last night! I am so lucky and am with the greatest man ever :)" She also shared a picture of her ring, which features a large yellow diamond set in white gold and surrounded by smaller diamonds.
Who's the lucky man who swept Clarkson, 30, off her feet? Her husband-to-be is talent manager Brandon Blackstock, the stepson of country music legend Reba McEntire. This will be the first marriage for Kelly, who began dating Brandon in early 2012; Blackstock was previously married and has two children.
Ben Feldman and Michelle Mulitz
Actor Ben Feldman, who plays Michael Ginsberg on the hit series "Mad Men," has popped the question to girlfriend Michelle Mulitz. Saying the proposal was "planned to seem spontaneous," Feldman got down on one knee while the two were walking their dog on Saturday.
Feldman, 32, joined the "Mad Men" cast in 2012, and is known for his previous work on the show "Drop Dead Diva" and in the films "Cloverfield" and "Friday the 13th." Mulitz has guest starred on several television shows, including "Numb3rs," "NCIS," and "Necessary Roughness."
Janice Dickinson and Robert Gerner
Former "America's Next Top Model" judge Janice Dickinson has announced her engagement to Dr. Robert Gerner. According to Dickinson, 57, Gerner proposed in the car on the way to the airport, and they later picked out a ring together. The self-described "first supermodel" announced the news on Saturday, showing off her rock at their combination housewarming and engagement party.
The couple have been dating for about three months, and Janice says "I intend to make Rocky the happiest man in the world for the rest of his life." This will be the fourth marriage for the former model, who has two children - a son and a daughter - from previous relationships.
Congratulations to all the newly-engaged couples!
