Justin Timberlake just released "Mirrors" -- the second single off his "20/20" album - and the lyrics seem eerily similar to real-life events.
"The vacancy that sat in my heart // Is a space that now you hold // Show me how to fight for now // And I'll tell you baby, it was easy // Comin' back into you once I figured it out // You were right here all along," JT sings in the song.
Could he be talking about the on-again, off-again relationship he once had with wife Jessica Biel? We think so - and the singer even hinted at it on a video he posted on his website.
"'Mirrors' is a love song to someone that you feel like is, you know, sort of your other half," he says in the video. "One of the most valuable things in a relationship is being able to constantly change and be individual, and to look to the other side to the person that you're with and know that they're changing as well individually, but somehow you two can mirror each other and be the other half of that world that you both create."
The song is incredibly sweet - and he also dedicates the heartbreaking video to his grandparents, William and Sadie. The pair was married for 63 years before he passed away in 2012.
But, it's not the first time he's performed a song inspired by his love life: "Cry Me a River" - and the video - was inspired by his relationship with Britney Spears.
Musicians love to write songs inspired by their love lives. After all, the best music comes from personal experiences - and heartbreaks.
Taylor Swift Inspired by Harry Styles
It seems like every one of Taylor Swift's songs is inspired by one of her ex-boyfriends, including Jake Gyllenhaal and John Mayer. However, she only admits that "I Knew You Were Trouble" was written about One Direction's Harry Styles.
"Well, it's not hard to access that emotion when the person the song is directed at is standing by the side of the stage watching," Swift said in a recent interview, referring to her Grammy Awards performance of the song while Styles was in the audience.
Gym Class Heroes Inspired by Katy Perry
Gym Class Heroes' song "Cupid's Chokehold" is about singer Travie McCoy's relationship with Katy Perry.
It's safe to say cupid doesn't have a chokehold on this pair anymore, though: The singer blasted Perry in a recent interview, telling a reporter that she was the one who ended the relationship as her fame rose.
"She wasn't stupid … She knew when I was f**ked up. I chose drugs over our relationship …," he said. "As things started taking off for her the more I started to doubt my role in her life. There were times I felt like a stepping ladder."
John Mayer Inspired by Jennifer Love Hewitt
John Mayer might have inspired a song by Taylor Swift, but actress Jennifer Love Hewitt inspired his biggest hit, "Your Body is a Wonderland."
Hewitt disagrees, though.
"John would have written, 'Your body is a disaster'," she once said.
We doubt that, J. Love.
