It looks like Justin Bieber has joined the ranks of celebs who smoke weed. On January 4, TMZ posted a couple of photos of the Biebs holding a joint while at party on January 2 in a Newport Beach hotel room. In the photos, he's shown smiling, laughing and hanging out with his friends, including rapper Lil Twist. While he didn't mention the incident directly on Twitter, he posted a couple of tweets on January 5 that seem to hint about it including him saying "I see all of u. i hear all of u. i never want to let any of you down. i love u. and..thank u" followed by "Like i said...2013...new challenges. new doubters...I'm ready. We are ready. see u all tomorrow and everyday after that." Other than dealing with a photo scandal, what else has he been up to lately?
The 18-year-old started off the new year by adding two new tattoos to his growing collection of body art. On December 30, he posted a photo of newly added roses on his left leg that are set right underneath the tat he has of praying hands. On January 6, he released a photo of his new hockey-inspired tattoo along with the caption " My grandfather always took me to the stratford culliton every friday night this is for u Grampa ... My man @chenterios hooked it up." If you've lost track, this marks his ninth and tenth tattoos respectively. His tattoo came at the perfect time as the NHL lockout finally came to an end on January 6 and he announced his excitement via Twitter with only three words that said it all - "HOCKEY IS BACK!!"
Debit card promotion
The "Boyfriend" singer is now promoting a prepaid debit card that will undoubtedly have every young fan clamoring to get one. He teamed up with Billmyparents.com for the endorsement deal and is said to be doing videos that promote responsible spending. Despite the responsible spending angle, there's quite a few fees associated with the card. For example, it reportedly costs $3.95 a month just to have the card as well as $1.50 each time you take money out from the ATM, 50 cents every time you check your balance at the ATM, $7.95 for replacing a card and $3.00 if you don't use the card for three months. We have a feeling parents aren't going to be too thrilled about all the extra fees.
Cancer patient visit
When a little 7-year-old leukemia patient in Utah couldn't make it to Justin's concert after relapsing two weeks ago, he decided to pay her a visit instead. On January 5, he arrived at the Primary Children's Medical Center in Salt Lake City right before his concert and likely gave Millie Flamm the best surprise she's ever received. He serenaded her, gave her a guitar pick and held her hand during the visit. When he gave her a kiss on the cheek, the little girl reportedly told her mother "You are never going to wash my face again." While he didn't tweet about the visit himself, he did retweet several comments and stories by fans and news sources.
