Britney Spears' conservatorship case will not be moved to a federal court and will remain in Los Angeles Superior Court, a judge has ruled.
Attorney Jon Eardley, who had claimed to be representing the pop star, had filed paperwork alleging the current conservatorship ruling was a violation of Britney's civil rights, and should be moved to the federal level for review.

However, on Tuesday, Federal District Judge Philip Gutierrez ruled Eardley, "had no authority to remove the case from State court."
In making his ruling, Judge Gutierrez also said Eardley was, "not Ms. Spears attorney and acted improperly by removing her conservatorship proceeding to federal court."

In addition, the judge declined to award attorney fees to the conservatorship, meaning it will cost Britney's camp approximately $40,000 for this latest legal mishap.
Following Eardley's filings to have the case moved to federal court, Britney's father (and co-conservator), Jamie Spears, made his own filing, calling Eardley's efforts "a brazen - but vain - attempt to strip a probate court of jurisdiction⦠by an attorney without a client."
