Josh Brolin and his
W co-star Jeffrey Wright,
who were both arrested after getting into a bar brawl in July, have settled their case in Shreveport, LA,
TMZ.com reported on Tuesday.
These arrests should never have happened," Wright said in a statement after all charges were dismissed. "Thankfully the prosecution was able to see that and dismiss all charges. Unfortunately, there are no winners here, but I remain hopeful that Shreveport officials will be encouraged to dig at the root causes of certain police incidents down there.
Wright added: "An old-fashioned refusal of service led to our arrest that night, and there's no room for that in America in 2009.
According to TMZ, "under the terms of the deal, as long as [Brolin and Wright] don't have run-ins with the law from now till March 11, all charges will be dropped."
Police arrested Brolin, 40 -- who was shooting the George Bush biopic
W -- and Wright along with four crew members, after they impeded police officers who attempted to break up a bar brawl in Shreveport, Louisiana, July 12. (They were each charged with one misdemeanor count of interfering with police.)
Local papers reported that a taser was used on Wright, 42, and both he and Brolin were hit with pepper spray when they wouldn't quit holding onto each other.

"There was a misunderstanding at their home," his rep said at the time, adding that Lane, 43, did not want to press charges.
