The
Jonas Brothers are taking their new role as
Power of Youth Ambassadors to a new level with the 2008 Target
Presents
Variety's Power of Youth in L.A. on October 4.
"We're doing whatever we can do make kids' lives better," Nick
Jonas, 15, told Usmagazine.com as they toured St. Jude Children's
Research Hospital and the Target House in Memphis on Monday.
"[It's] something that's been in our hearts for a long time," Joe
Jonas, 18, told Us.
"Our parents and grandparents have all donated to St. Jude!" Nick
added.
Nick's personal health has given him insight into children's
issues.
"I'm a diabetic," he said. "I know that when someone is diagnosed
with something like that they feel alone. If we can just offer some
encouragement even if it's just taking a photo or signing an
autograph then we're doing our part to help them not feel so
alone."
Kevin Jonas, 20, was touched by the tour of the facility.
"It was very touching to meet all of these kids and look them in
the eyes," he told Us. "Even if it's only for a moment, it helps to
take that pain away. The pure joy in their eyes is possibly the
coolest thing I have ever seen in my life."
