The baby girl is the couple's first child together. The Emmy winner has a son, Charlie, 9, from a previous marriage. The couple wed in June 2007.
The actor nabbed his first Emmy earlier this month for this work on his popular CBS sitcom and joked about the joy of winning, saying, "You know, I used to think that awards were just shallow tokens of momentary popularity. But now, I realize they are the only true measure of a person's real worth as a human being."

After losing to Jon, Emmy host Neil Patrick Harris stopped the ceremony to throw a few barbs at Jon who was backstage with reporters, but Jon told Access Hollywood's Nancy O'Dell that he didn't fear his fellow CBS star.
"I am not afraid of Neil Patrick Harris, clearly, I vanquished Neil Patrick Harris," Jon joked, adding, "He will have plenty of these, trust me. Just let me get one! You'll have plenty of them down the line."
