Johnny Knoxville says he didn't mean to bring a fake grenade with him while boarding a flight at Los Angeles International Airport on Thursday.
The
Jackass star -- who was briefly detained and later allowed on his American Airlines flight to Miami --
blogs that he had just finished shooting an MTV show called
Nitro Circus.
See mugshots from all the celebs arrested in 2008."When the shoot was over, the wardrobe girl packed my luggage so I could go home and, unbeknownst to me, she packed a FAKE hand grenade (a prop grenade that I'd taken to the shoot) in the front zipper of my luggage," he writes. "Needless to say, when I was packing to go out of town this morning with my girlfriend and daughter, I didn't see the FAKE grenade in my luggage."

"The cops did their job and verified that it wasn't real," he says. "Also, they were cool as they could be to me, considering the situation, and it is no one's fault but my own.
"I should have checked my god---n luggage through and through, but I didn't and now we have this incident," he goes on.
Before signing off, he stresses again that the grenade was fake.
Look back on the biggest scandals of 2008."If it was real I never would have been allowed to board my flight to Miami an hour later," he writes. "Anyway, it was a mistake, and I just landed at the Miami airport. Damn."
